Abd Plus Tab (Albendazole 400 mg + Ivermectin 6 mg)

Composition (per tablet)

Albendazole – 400 mg, Ivermectin – 6 mg 

Description

Abd Plus is an anthelmintic combination used to treat a variety of parasitic worm infections.

Albendazole works by inhibiting microtubule formation in the parasite, leading to energy depletion and death. 

Ivermectin increases permeability of cell membranes in parasites, causing paralysis and death. 

This combination is also used in areas where filariasis is prevalent, to suppress the growth of filarial worms. 

Precautions

Use only if prescribed; complete the full course. 

Avoid in pregnancy unless clearly necessary (limited safety data) 

Use cautiously in liver disease (due to albendazole) and in patients with neurological disorders or seizures (due to ivermectin) 

Avoid in young children unless the doctor advises (some sources mention < 2 years not recommended)

• Monitor for signs of allergic reaction or neurological symptoms; discontinue if severe.

Adverse Effects

Common side effects: Nausea, vomiting ,Abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation Headache, dizziness, fatigue.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place below 30 °C (or as per packaging). 
Keep the tablet away from children.
