Acyclotech 500 Mg (10 Ml) Acyclovir 500 Mg By Protech

What is it used for?
Acyclovir is used to treat herpes virus infections, including genital herpes, cold sores, shingles and chickenpox. It can reduce the severity and duration of symptoms but does not remove the virus from the body.

How does it work?
It blocks the ability of herpes viruses to make their genetic material, which slows the growth and spread of the virus.

How to take/use it
Use it only as prescribed and follow the instructions on the label. The dose, frequency, duration and route depend on the infection and the formulation. Drink plenty of fluids unless a doctor has advised otherwise, and complete the prescribed course.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness and tiredness may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is kidney disease, dehydration, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or a weakened immune system. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney disease. Seek medical help for severe allergic reactions, confusion, seizures, very little urine or unusual bruising.
