Composition

Etoricoxib oxib 90 mg.

Uses

Etoricoxib 90 mg is a selective COX-2 NSAID used to relieve pain and inflammation. It may be prescribed for conditions such as:

- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Acute musculoskeletal pain
- Certain dental or postoperative pain conditions

How to Use

Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Do not take it together with other NSAIDs such as diclofenac, ibuprofen, naproxen, or high-dose aspirin unless your doctor specifically advises you to.

Precautions & Warnings

Tell your doctor if you have:

- High blood pressure or heart disease
- Previous heart attack or stroke
- Kidney or liver disease
- Stomach ulcers or previous gastrointestinal bleeding
- Heart failure or swelling/fluid retention
- Asthma or an allergy to NSAIDs

Etoricoxib can increase blood pressure, cause fluid retention, and affect kidney function. Long-term or high-dose use may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Blood pressure and kidney function may need monitoring.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache, dizziness, swelling of the legs or feet, and increased blood pressure.

Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, sudden weakness or speech problems, black/bloody stools, vomiting blood, severe allergic reactions, or markedly reduced urine output.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Etoricoxib should generally be avoided during pregnancy, particularly later pregnancy, unless specifically prescribed by a doctor. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking it while breastfeeding.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Important Safety Information

Take only the prescribed dose and do not use it for longer than recommended. If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take a double dose.
