Composition
Etoricoxib 60 mg \+ Paracetamol 325 mg.
Uses
This combination is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, musculoskeletal pain, and other painful inflammatory conditions when prescribed by a doctor.
- Etoricoxib reduces pain and inflammation by selectively inhibiting COX-2.
- Paracetamol provides additional pain\- and fever-relieving effects.
How to Use
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably at the same time each day.
Do not take additional paracetamol-containing medicines without checking the total daily dose. Avoid combining etoricoxib with other NSAIDs such as diclofenac, ibuprofen, or naproxen unless specifically advised by your doctor.
Precautions & Warnings
Tell your doctor if you have:
- High blood pressure or heart disease
- Previous heart attack or stroke
- Kidney or liver disease
- Stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Heart failure or fluid retention
- Asthma or previous NSAID allergy
- Regular or heavy alcohol consumption
Etoricoxib may increase blood pressure, cause fluid retention, and affect kidney function. Prolonged or high-dose use can increase cardiovascular risk. Excessive paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects may include indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache, dizziness, swelling of the feet or legs, and increased blood pressure.
Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, severe shortness of breath, sudden weakness, black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, severe allergic reaction, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or markedly reduced urine output.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Etoricoxib should generally be avoided during pregnancy, particularly later pregnancy, unless specifically prescribed. Consult your doctor before using this combination while breastfeeding.
Storage
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary duration. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Check labels of other pain or cold medicines for paracetamol to avoid accidental overdose. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption because it can increase the risk of liver damage from paracetamol.
