Povidone Iodine 7.5% w/v (equivalent to available Iodine 0.75% w/v)

Excipients: q.s.l

Description:

Aldine Surgical Scrub contains Povidone Iodine 7.5% w/v, a broad-spectrum antiseptic used for preoperative and postoperative skin disinfection.
It works by releasing free iodine, which rapidly kills a wide range of bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa, and spores.
This scrub is designed for hand and skin antisepsis of healthcare professionals before surgery and for patient skin preparation prior to invasive procedures.
It provides effective antimicrobial action while being gentle on the skin and suitable for repeated use.

Warnings and Precautions:

For external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes.

Do not use in individuals with known hypersensitivity to iodine or povidone.

Prolonged use may lead to skin irritation or dryness.

Use cautiously in patients with thyroid disorders (especially hyperthyroidism).

Not recommended for long-term continuous application on large skin areas.

Discontinue use if signs of irritation, rash, or allergic reaction appear.

Use during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly indicated by a physician.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Mild skin dryness or irritation.

Occasional: Temporary skin discoloration due to iodine.

Rare: Allergic reactions such as itching, rash, or contact dermatitis.

Very rare: Systemic iodine absorption leading to thyroid dysfunction (with prolonged use).

Storage:

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.

Keep container tightly closed after use.

Do not freeze.
