What is it used for?
Povidone iodine 7.5% is an antiseptic used to clean and disinfect the skin and minor cuts, wounds or burns, and to prepare the skin before medical procedures, according to the product instructions.

How does it work?
It releases iodine, which kills or inactivates many bacteria, viruses and fungi on the skin.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply or use on the affected skin as directed on the product label. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not swallow it. Do not use on deep or extensive wounds without medical advice.

Common side effects
Temporary skin irritation, redness, dryness or a burning sensation may occur. Stop using it and seek medical help if signs of an allergic reaction develop.

Precautions
