- Certain gynaecological or other bacterial infections
It does not treat viral infections such as the common cold or influenza.
How to Use
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The extended-release tablet should generally be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed or chewed.
Follow the prescribed schedule and complete the antibiotic course even if you feel better. Do not stop or change the dose without medical advice.

Serious allergic reactions and severe antibiotic-associated diarrhoea are uncommon but require prompt medical attention.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking faropenem. Your doctor will determine whether it is appropriate based on the infection and available alternatives.
Storage
Store at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information
Use faropenem only when prescribed for a bacterial infection. Do not share antibiotics or use leftover tablets. If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take a double dose.
