Composition
Ambroxol 7.5 mg \+ Terbutaline 0.25 mg \+ Guaiphenesin 12.5 mg.
This is a mucolytic + bronchodilator \+ expectorant combination, commonly found in cough syrups. The exact dosage form should be confirmed from the product label.
Uses
It is generally used for productive (phlegmy) cough associated with conditions such as bronchitis and other respiratory conditions with thick mucus.
- Ambroxol — thins and loosens thick mucus, making it easier to cough out.
- Terbutaline — relaxes airway muscles and helps open the airways.
- Guaiphenesin or according to the product label. If it is a syrup, measure the dose with — increases/loosens respiratory secretions to help clear mucus.
How to Use
Take exactly as prescribed or according to the product label. If it is a syrup, measure the dose with the supplied measuring device rather than a household spoon.
Drink adequate fluids unless your doctor has restricted your fluid intake.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Precautions & Warnings
Tell your doctor if you have:
- Heart disease or an abnormal heart rhythm
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Hyperthyroidism
- Seizure disorders
- Kidney or liver disease
Terbutaline may increase heart rate and cause tremors or palpitations. Use cautiously with other medicines that stimulate the heart or nervous system.
This combination is intended primarily for cough with mucus and may not be appropriate for a dry cough.

Storage
