Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 15 mg ,Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg ,Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg ,Flavoured syrup base: q.s.

Description:

Alkof DX Plus Cough Syrup is a triple-action cough suppressant and decongestant formulation designed to provide effective relief from dry, allergic, and cold-associated cough.

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a centrally acting antitussive that suppresses the cough reflex without causing dependence or sedation typical of codeine-based products.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine that relieves sneezing, runny nose, throat irritation, and other allergic symptoms associated with upper respiratory infections.

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant that helps relieve nasal blockage and sinus congestion by constricting dilated nasal blood vessels.

Indicated for dry cough, allergic cough, and cough associated with common cold or upper respiratory tract infections.

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral use only and to be taken under medical supervision.

May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery after intake.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Use with caution in patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma.

Avoid alcohol and sedatives during therapy.

Not recommended for children below 6 years unless prescribed by a physician.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly advised by a doctor.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, mild nausea, or headache.

Occasional: Restlessness, nervousness, or gastrointestinal discomfort.
