Description:

Alkof Total Cough Syrup is a multi-action cough formulation providing comprehensive relief from dry and productive cough associated with allergic, infective, and inflammatory respiratory conditions.

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant (antitussive) that acts on the cough center to reduce the urge to cough.

Ambroxol Hydrochloride is a mucolytic and expectorant that helps in thinning and clearing mucus from the airways.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine that relieves symptoms of allergy, such as sneezing and runny nose.

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant that reduces nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages.

Menthol provides a cooling and soothing effect on the throat and helps ease irritation.

Indicated for cough due to common cold, bronchitis, allergic conditions, and upper respiratory tract infections.

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral use only under medical supervision.

May cause drowsiness or dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Use with caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, cardiac disease, or glaucoma.

Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants during therapy.

Not recommended for children below 6 years unless prescribed by a physician.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly indicated.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, mild nausea, and headache.

Occasional: Palpitations, nervousness, or gastrointestinal discomfort.

Rare: Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or difficulty in breathing.
