Composition

Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg + Serratiopeptidase 10 mg.

This is a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory combination commonly used for painful conditions associated with swelling.

- Diclofenac — an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation.
- Serratiopeptidase — a proteolytic enzyme marketed to help reduce inflammation and tissue swelling.

Uses

It may be prescribed for:

- Musculoskeletal and joint pain
- Sprains and sports injuries
- Dental pain and swelling
- Postoperative pain and swelling
- Other painful inflammatory conditions

How to Use

Take exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach irritation. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it if it is enteric-coated or modified-release.

Do not combine it with other NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, naproxen, aceclofenac, nimesulide, or etoricoxib unless your doctor specifically advises you to.

Precautions & Warnings

Tell your doctor if you have:

- Stomach ulcers or previous gastrointestinal bleeding
- Kidney or liver disease
- High blood pressure, heart disease, or heart failure
- Asthma triggered by NSAIDs
- A bleeding or clotting disorder
- A history of stroke or heart attack

Diclofenac can cause stomach bleeding, kidney problems, fluid retention, increased blood pressure, and cardiovascular complications, especially with prolonged use or higher doses.

Serratiopeptidase may potentially increase bleeding risk, particularly when combined with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects include:

- Indigestion or stomach pain
- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Heartburn

Seek urgent medical attention for black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, unusual bleeding, or markedly reduced urine output.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Diclofenac should generally be avoided during pregnancy, particularly in the later stages, unless specifically prescribed. Consult your doctor before using this combination while breastfeeding.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.

Important Safety Information

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration prescribed. Inform your doctor if you take aspirin, clopidogrel, warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, or other medicines that affect blood clotting. Avoid excessive alcohol because it can increase the risk of stomach irritation and bleeding.
