Composition

Calcium Citrate Malate 250 mg + Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 100 IU + Folic Acid 50 mg.

Note: Please check the package carefully. Folic acid 50 mg is an unusually high amount; many supplements contain folic acid in micrograms (mcg), not milligrams (mg). It may be intended to say 50 mcg (0.05 mg) rather than 50 mg.

Uses

This combination is a nutritional supplement that may be used to support:

- Bone and teeth health
- Calcium and vitamin D supplementation
- Normal muscle and nerve function
- Folic-acid requirements and red blood cell formation
- Calcium citrate malate — provides calcium needed for bones, muscles, and nerves.
- Vitamin D3 — helps the body absorb calcium.
- Folic acid — supports DNA synthesis and normal red blood cell formation.

How to Use

Take exactly as directed by your doctor or the product label, preferably with food if it causes stomach discomfort.

Do not take additional calcium, vitamin D, or folic acid supplements without checking your total daily intake.

Precautions & Warnings

Tell your doctor if you have:

- Kidney disease or a history of kidney stones
- High blood calcium levels
- Parathyroid disorders
- Sarcoidosis or other conditions affecting calcium metabolism
- A vitamin B12 deficiency or unexplained anemia

Calcium can interfere with absorption of medicines such as levothyroxine, iron supplements, and some antibiotics. These medicines may need to be taken several hours apart.

Possible Side Effects

Possible effects include:

- Constipation
- Bloating or abdominal discomfort
- Nausea

Excessive calcium or vitamin D can cause high blood calcium, which may lead to excessive thirst, frequent urination, weakness, nausea, or kidney stones.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Calcium, vitamin D, and folic acid are important during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but the dose should be appropriate for your individual needs. Consult your doctor before taking this particular formulation.

Important Safety Information

Please verify the folic acid strength before using this product. If the label genuinely states 50 mg, rather than 50 mcg, do not start it without confirming the dose with a doctor or pharmacist. 50 mg is 1,000 times 50 mcg.

If you can provide a photo of the strip/bottle or the complete composition printed on it, I can help verify the strength.
