Amlodipine Besylate IP equivalent to Amlodipine 10 mg

Description:
Amlip 10 Tablet contains Amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine class) that relaxes vascular smooth muscles, causing vasodilation and improved blood flow. It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain). By lowering blood pressure, it helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Warnings and Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment or heart failure.

Avoid abrupt discontinuation; taper dose under medical supervision.

May cause postural hypotension or dizziness—avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.

Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly.

Use during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.

Adverse Effects:
Headache, dizziness, flushing, palpitations, fatigue, nausea, and peripheral edema (especially ankle swelling).
