Amlo 5 Tabs (Strips) (100X10) Amlodipine 5Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Amlodipine is used mainly to treat high blood pressure. It may also be prescribed to help prevent chest pain caused by angina.

How does it work?
It relaxes and widens the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. This lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow it with water and do not stop it without medical advice. If it is being used for angina, it is not intended to relieve a sudden chest-pain attack.

Common side effects
Ankle or foot swelling, headache, dizziness, flushing, tiredness, palpitations, nausea and stomach discomfort.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice if there is very low blood pressure, liver disease or a heart condition. Dizziness may occur, especially when starting treatment; take care when driving or standing up. Inform the doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek urgent medical help for severe dizziness, fainting, worsening chest pain or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
