What is it used for?
Bilastine is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin itching or hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a chemical involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce allergy symptoms and itching.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as directed on the label or by a doctor. Swallow with water, preferably on an empty stomach. Avoid taking it with food or fruit juice, as this may reduce its absorption.

Common side effects
Headache, sleepiness, dizziness, tiredness and nausea.

Precautions
Use only as advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Avoid driving or operating machinery if it causes sleepiness or dizziness. Tell a doctor about kidney problems or other medicines being taken. Seek medical help for severe allergic reactions such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
