Description

Precautions

Avoid use in patients with acute pancreatitis or severe abdominal pain of unknown origin.

Maintain adequate hydration.

Do not take with other medications simultaneously—activated charcoal may reduce their absorption (keep a 2-hour gap).

Adverse Effects

Less common: Allergic reactions (rash, itching) due to papain, Constipation or black stools (due to charcoal)
