What is it used for?
This medicine is used to stimulate appetite and support weight gain in people with poor appetite, when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Cyproheptadine can increase appetite by blocking certain histamine and serotonin effects in the body. Tricholine citrate is included as a nutritional adjunct.

How to take/use it
Take it only as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Measure the syrup with a proper measuring device and do not take more than recommended. It may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, increased appetite and weight gain. Nausea or stomach discomfort may also occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol because it can increase drowsiness. Use only after medical advice if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, prostate enlargement, liver disease, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
