What is it used for?
This combination is used to help prevent harmful blood clots and reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in people with coronary artery disease, including after certain heart-related events or procedures. The exact reason for prescribing it depends on the patient's condition.

How does it work?
Atorvastatin lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and helps stabilise fatty deposits in blood vessels. Aspirin and clopidogrel reduce platelet clotting, helping prevent blood clots from forming.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor, at the same time each day. Do not stop it without medical advice, especially after a heart procedure. If a dose is missed, follow the prescribed instructions and do not take an extra dose unless advised.

Common side effects
Easy bruising or bleeding, nosebleeds, indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache, and muscle aches may occur.

Precautions
Seek urgent medical help for heavy or unusual bleeding, black stools, vomiting blood, severe weakness, or unexplained severe muscle pain. Tell the doctor about ulcers, bleeding disorders, liver disease, kidney disease, or any planned surgery or dental procedure. Avoid starting painkillers such as ibuprofen or other medicines, including blood thinners, without medical advice. Avoid alcohol or limit it, as it may increase bleeding or liver-related risks. This medicine is generally not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically directed by a doctor.
