What is it used for?
Bilastine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It is also used to relieve itching and hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a substance involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce itching, sneezing, redness and other allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed. It is generally taken with water on an empty stomach—1 hour before or 2 hours after food or fruit juice. Do not take more than the recommended amount.

Common side effects
Headache, sleepiness, dizziness and tiredness may occur.

Precautions
Use only as advised if there is kidney disease or if taking other medicines. Avoid driving or operating machinery if sleepy or dizzy. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical help if signs of a serious allergic reaction occur.
