Aristogyl 400 Tab (10x3x15) Metronidazole 400mg by Aristo

What is it used for?
Metronidazole 400 mg is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria and parasites, including some infections of the stomach and intestines, teeth and gums, vagina, skin and other parts of the body. It may also be used for amoebiasis, giardiasis and trichomoniasis when prescribed.

How does it work?
It enters susceptible bacteria and parasites and damages their genetic material, stopping them from growing and surviving.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and swallow the tablet with water. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Do not drink alcohol while taking it and for at least 48 hours after the last dose.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, metallic taste, dry mouth and dark-coloured urine.

Precautions
Inform the doctor if there is liver disease, a nervous-system disorder, a blood disorder, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially warfarin, lithium or disulfiram. Seek medical advice for numbness or tingling, seizures, severe rash or persistent diarrhoea. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours afterwards.
