What is it used for?
This combination is used to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Glimepiride helps the pancreas release insulin. Metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin. Pioglitazone improves insulin sensitivity.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, weight gain or low blood sugar may occur.

Precautions
Take with caution if you have kidney, liver or heart problems. Be alert for symptoms of low blood sugar. Seek medical advice if unusual swelling, breathlessness or severe weakness occurs.
