What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of dry cough and cold or allergy symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the label or by a doctor. Do not take more than recommended, and do not combine with other cough, cold or allergy medicines containing the same ingredients.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and constipation may occur.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness or reduced alertness; avoid driving and alcohol until the effect is known. Seek medical advice before use with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness, and do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine or prostate enlargement. Seek medical advice for a persistent, worsening or mucus-producing cough.
