Atrabid 2.5Ml (1X4) Atracurium Besylate 25 Mg/2.5 Ml Inj By Protech

What is it used for?
Atracurium injection is used during general anaesthesia to relax the muscles and help doctors place a breathing tube during surgery. It may also be used to help control muscle movement while a patient is receiving mechanical ventilation. It does not cause unconsciousness or relieve pain by itself.

How does it work?
It temporarily blocks nerve signals to the muscles, including the muscles used for movement and breathing. The effect wears off after the medicine is stopped and the body breaks it down.

How to take/use it
This medicine is given into a vein only by trained healthcare professionals in a hospital. Breathing support and careful monitoring are required because it temporarily weakens or stops the breathing muscles. The dose and timing are decided by the anaesthetist.

Common side effects
Flushing, low blood pressure, fast heartbeat, wheezing or bronchospasm, skin rash and temporary muscle weakness may occur.

Precautions
It must not be self-administered. Tell the anaesthetist about any previous reaction to muscle-relaxing medicines, asthma or breathing problems, heart or blood-pressure problems, or neuromuscular disorders. Seek immediate medical attention for severe breathing difficulty, swelling, widespread rash or other signs of a serious allergic reaction.
