Azithromycin Dihydrate IP equivalent to Azithromycin 500 mg

Description:
Azicip 500 Tablet contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
It acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing bacterial growth and spread.
It is prescribed for respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), skin and soft tissue infections, ear infections, and sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia.

Warnings and Precautions:

Take this medicine only under medical supervision.

Avoid use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics.

Caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment and cardiac rhythm abnormalities (QT prolongation).

Do not take antacids within 2 hours before or after taking this medicine, as they may reduce absorption.

Complete the prescribed course even if symptoms improve early.

Adverse Effects:
May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence, or headache.
Rarely, allergic reactions, jaundice, or heart rhythm disturbances may occur.
