What is it used for?
Bilastine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It is also used to relieve itching and rash caused by hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a chemical involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce allergy symptoms and itching.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed by the doctor or medicine label. Swallow with water. It is generally taken on an empty stomach; avoid taking it with food or fruit juice unless advised otherwise.

Common side effects
Headache, sleepiness, dizziness and tiredness may occur.

Precautions
Use caution when driving or operating machinery until its effects are known, as sleepiness or dizziness may occur. Inform the doctor about kidney problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if other medicines are being taken. Do not use it if allergic to bilastine or any of its ingredients.
