What is it used for?
This combination is used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, blocked or runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It may also help control allergy-related nasal inflammation when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Bilastine blocks histamine, a chemical involved in allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals that contribute to airway and nasal inflammation.

How to take/use it
Swallow the tablet with water exactly as prescribed. Follow the product or doctor’s instructions regarding food and fruit juice, as they may affect bilastine absorption. Do not take more than prescribed.

Common side effects
Headache, sleepiness or tiredness, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, and dry mouth may occur.

Precautions
Montelukast has been associated with mood or behaviour changes, unusual dreams, sleep problems, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts; seek medical advice promptly if these occur. Avoid driving or operating machinery until the effect is known. This medicine is not a rescue treatment for a sudden asthma attack. Tell the doctor about other medicines and any kidney or liver problems before use.
