What is it used for?
Clotrimazole vaginal cream is used to treat vaginal fungal infections, commonly known as vaginal thrush or yeast infection. It can help relieve symptoms such as itching, soreness and abnormal discharge caused by the infection.

How does it work?
Clotrimazole is an antifungal medicine. It damages the fungal cell membrane, which stops the fungus from growing and helps clear the infection.

How to take/use it
For vaginal use only. Wash hands before and after use. Use the applicator to insert the cream into the vagina exactly as directed on the pack or by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not swallow it. Avoid getting it in the eyes.

Common side effects
Mild burning, irritation, itching or discomfort in the vagina may occur after application.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to clotrimazole or any ingredient. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy, especially before using the applicator. Seek medical advice if symptoms do not improve, keep returning, or occur with fever, lower abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, sores or unusual bleeding. The cream may reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms or diaphragms during treatment and for a short time afterwards; check the product instructions.
