Description:

Carviedge 25 contains Carvedilol, a non-selective β-adrenergic blocker with additional α₁-adrenergic blocking activity. This combined mechanism results in vasodilation, reduced heart rate, decreased myocardial oxygen demand, and lower blood pressure.
It is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, chronic heart failure (CHF), and as adjunctive therapy in left ventricular dysfunction following myocardial infarction.

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral administration only, to be used under medical supervision.

Do not discontinue abruptly; taper gradually under physician guidance to avoid rebound hypertension or cardiac events.

Use cautiously in patients with bradycardia, AV block, severe hepatic impairment, or decompensated heart failure.

May mask symptoms of hypoglycaemia in diabetic patients; monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Avoid use in patients with bronchial asthma or severe COPD due to risk of bronchospasm.

Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and signs of fluid retention during therapy.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly indicated by the physician.

May cause dizziness or fatigue; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Dizziness, fatigue, bradycardia, hypotension, and headache.

Occasional: Gastrointestinal upset, weight gain, peripheral edema, and cold extremities.

Rare: Worsening of heart failure, conduction abnormalities, hepatic dysfunction, or hypersensitivity reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
