Composition

Caspotech contains Caspofungin Acetate equivalent to 50 mg of Caspofungin.

Description

Caspotech 50 mg Injection is an antifungal medication from the echinocandin class used for serious fungal infections such as invasive candidiasis and aspergillosis. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of an essential component of the fungal cell wall, leading to the weakening and destruction of the fungus. It is administered under medical supervision in hospitals, especially for patients who are critically ill or immunocompromised.

Precautions

Caspofungin should be used cautiously in patients with liver problems as dose adjustments may be required. Liver function must be monitored during treatment.
