What is it used for?
This medicine is used to relieve dry cough and associated cold or allergy symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergy-related symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Measure the liquid with the supplied measuring device. Do not take more than recommended, and do not use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and stomach upset may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and driving or operating machinery if drowsy or dizzy. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and check with a doctor before using it with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical advice before use in children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, breathing difficulty or a persistent cough. Seek urgent help for severe breathing problems, confusion or an allergic reaction.
