CEFILINK-1000 VIAL (Cefepime 1000Mg)

Composition

Each vial contains Cefepime Hydrochloride equivalent to 1000 mg of Cefepime.

Description

Cefilink-1000 Injection contains Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, skin infections and intra-abdominal infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, providing broad-spectrum coverage against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. It is administered intravenously under medical supervision.

Precautions

Use cautiously in patients with kidney impairment, and dose adjustments may be necessary. Patients with a history of allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins should inform their doctor. Prolonged use may result in superinfection. It should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed by a physician.

Adverse Effects

Possible side effects include rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, injection-site pain and altered kidney function tests. Rarely, allergic reactions, seizures or severe diarrhea due to Clostridioides difficile can occur.

Storage

Store below 25°C, protect from light and moisture, and keep the vial in its original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
