Cefinta-O 10 Tab (Cefixime 200Mg + Ofloxacin 200Mg ) By Intas

What is it used for?
This combination is used to treat certain bacterial infections when prescribed by a doctor. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Cefixime stops bacteria from forming their protective cell wall. Ofloxacin stops bacteria from multiplying by interfering with their DNA. Together, they help control susceptible bacterial infections.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow with water. Do not self-medicate or share this medicine. Avoid taking it at the same time as antacids or mineral supplements containing aluminium, magnesium, iron or calcium unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness and mild skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about allergies to cephalosporins, penicillins or quinolone antibiotics, kidney disease, seizures, heart rhythm problems, tendon problems or myasthenia gravis. Seek medical help for severe or persistent diarrhoea, swelling or breathing difficulty, tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, severe dizziness, or an irregular heartbeat. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
