CEFOTECH-T 1.125 Injection (Cefoperazone 1000Mg+ Tazobactum 125Mg)

Composition

Each vial contains Cefoperazone Sodium equivalent to 1000 mg of Cefoperazone and Tazobactam Sodium equivalent to 125 mg of Tazobactam.

Description

Cefotech-T 1.125 Injection is a combination of Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Tazobactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the antibacterial activity against resistant organisms. It is used for treating severe respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections and septicemia. It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly under medical supervision.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with penicillin or cephalosporin allergy. Dose adjustment is required in patients with hepatic impairment. Prolonged use may cause superinfections. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only on medical advice. Monitor liver function tests during therapy.

Adverse Effects

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, injection-site pain, rash and headache. Rare effects may include allergic reactions, elevated liver enzymes and blood count changes.

Store below 25°C, protect from moisture and sunlight and keep the vial in its original packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
