Composition

Each vial contains Ceftazidime 2 g and Avibactam 0.5 g.

Description

Zebactum 2.5 is a combination of a third-generation cephalosporin (Ceftazidime) and a beta-lactamase inhibitor (Avibactam). It is used for treating complicated intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, hospital-acquired pneumonia and multidrug-resistant bacterial infections. It is administered intravenously under strict medical supervision.

Precautions

Not recommended for patients with known allergies to cephalosporins or penicillins. Dose adjustment may be required in renal impairment. Use cautiously in elderly patients. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Adverse Effects

May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, rash or injection site reactions. Rarely may cause allergic reactions, liver enzyme changes or blood count abnormalities.

Store below 25°C, protect from light and moisture. Keep in original packaging and out of reach of children.
