Description

Zitech 500 is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of moderate bacterial infections. It is effective against respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, abdominal infections and certain hospital-acquired infections. It is administered intramuscularly or intravenously under medical guidance.

Precautions

Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins. Dose adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment. Use cautiously in elderly patients. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Adverse Effects

Possible side effects include pain at injection site, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash, headache or elevated liver enzymes. Rare reactions may include hypersensitivity reactions, changes in blood counts or seizures in patients with renal impairment.

Storage

Store below 25°C, protect from moisture and direct light. Keep the vial in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
