What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other complications.

How does it work?
Cilnidipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, while telmisartan blocks a hormone that causes blood vessels to tighten. Together, they help lower blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow it with water. Take it regularly and do not stop treatment without medical advice. If a dose is missed, follow the instructions provided by the doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, flushing, tiredness, low blood pressure and swelling of the ankles or feet may occur. Contact a doctor if side effects are severe or persistent.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems, dehydration, low blood pressure, or high potassium levels. Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes unless advised by a doctor. This medicine should not be used during pregnancy; seek medical advice if pregnancy occurs. Rise slowly if dizziness occurs, and have blood pressure, kidney function and potassium monitored as advised.
