What is it used for?
Cilnidipine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps lower blood pressure and reduces the risk of blood-pressure-related complications.

How does it work?
It relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into the muscle cells of the blood vessel walls. This allows blood to flow more easily and lowers blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take this tablet by mouth exactly as prescribed. Swallow it with water and take it at the same time each day. Do not stop treatment suddenly or change the dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, dizziness, flushing, palpitations, and swelling of the ankles or feet may occur.

Precautions
Monitor blood pressure regularly. Dizziness may occur, especially when starting treatment; rise slowly and avoid driving if affected. Inform the doctor about liver or kidney problems, low blood pressure, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for severe dizziness, fainting, or troublesome swelling.
