What is it used for?
Cilnidipine 10 mg is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps lower blood pressure and reduces the risk of complications related to uncontrolled hypertension.

How does it work?
It relaxes and widens the blood vessels by reducing calcium entry into the muscle cells of the vessel walls. This allows blood to flow more easily and lowers blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor, at the same time each day. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take two doses together.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, flushing, palpitations and swelling of the ankles or feet may occur.

Precautions
Rise slowly if dizziness occurs, especially when starting treatment. Inform the doctor about low blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or swelling of the legs. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if swelling is severe, fainting occurs or blood pressure remains uncontrolled.
