What is it used for?
Cilostazol is used to improve walking distance and reduce leg pain caused by intermittent claudication, a symptom of reduced blood flow to the legs in peripheral arterial disease.

How does it work?
It widens blood vessels and reduces the stickiness of platelets, helping improve blood flow to the legs.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Follow the prescribed timing and do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, abnormal stools, dizziness, palpitations and fast heartbeat.

Precautions
Do not use it if there is heart failure or a history of serious bleeding. Inform the doctor about heart rhythm problems, low blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, bleeding disorders, or any planned surgery. Tell the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially blood thinners and antiplatelet medicines. Seek medical help for severe or persistent headache, chest pain, fainting, unusual bleeding or a fast or irregular heartbeat.
