Clari 500 Tabs (10X10) Clarithromycin 500 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including some infections of the chest, throat, sinuses, ears and skin. It may also be used with other medicines to treat Helicobacter pylori infection linked to stomach ulcers. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
It stops susceptible bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow the tablet with water. Do not take more or less than prescribed, and do not share leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, headache and an altered or bitter taste.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any allergy to clarithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics, liver or kidney problems, heart rhythm problems, or a history of severe diarrhoea after antibiotics. Clarithromycin can interact with several medicines, so provide a complete list of medicines being taken. Seek medical advice for severe or persistent diarrhoea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
