What is it used for?
This medicine is commonly prescribed for people with coronary artery disease or other cardiovascular disease, including after a heart attack or coronary stent. It helps lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of harmful blood clots that can cause another heart attack or stroke.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin lowers harmful LDL cholesterol. Clopidogrel and aspirin reduce the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food, and swallow it with water. Do not stop taking it without medical advice, especially after a heart attack or stent. Tell the doctor before any surgery or dental procedure.

Common side effects
Easy bruising or bleeding, indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, headache, and muscle aches may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, liver or kidney disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, or allergy to aspirin, clopidogrel, or statins. Inform the doctor about all medicines, especially blood thinners, painkillers such as ibuprofen, and omeprazole or esomeprazole. Seek urgent medical help for heavy or unusual bleeding, black stools, vomiting blood, severe muscle pain or weakness, or dark urine. This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
