Composition:

Clindamycin 300 mg per 2 mL

Description:

This injection contains Clindamycin, a lincosamide antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth of bacteria. It is commonly used for skin infections, respiratory tract infections, bone and joint infections, and other severe bacterial infections.

Precautions:

Clindamycin injection should be administered under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, liver or kidney impairment, or allergy to lincosamide antibiotics. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed. Patients should inform their physician about all other medications to avoid potential interactions.

Adverse Effects:

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or anaphylaxis may occur. Prolonged use may lead to antibiotic-associated colitis caused by Clostridium difficile.

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
