What is it used for?
This medicine is used on the skin for inflamed fungal infections, especially when a bacterial infection may also be present. It should be used only when prescribed, as the strong steroid component can worsen some infections if used incorrectly.

How does it work?
Miconazole fights fungal growth and neomycin acts against susceptible bacteria. Clobetasol reduces inflammation, redness and itching.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Clean and dry the area first and wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Do not use more often or for longer than directed.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, irritation, dryness or redness may occur. Prolonged or inappropriate use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes. Do not apply to the face, groin, skin folds, broken skin or large areas unless specifically advised by a doctor. Do not cover the area with a tight dressing unless directed. Avoid prolonged use, particularly in children. Stop and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, spreads, or causes severe irritation or an allergic reaction.
