Description

Clobesalic Ointment is a combination of a potent corticosteroid (Clobetasol) and a keratolytic agent (Salicylic Acid).
It is used for managing inflammatory and hyperkeratotic skin conditions such as psoriasis, chronic eczema, lichen planus, and severe dermatitis.
Clobetasol reduces inflammation, itching, and redness, while Salicylic Acid helps remove thick scales and enhances penetration of the steroid.

Precautions

For external use only.
Avoid application on broken or infected skin unless advised by a doctor.
Do not use on the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically prescribed.
Prolonged or excessive use may cause skin thinning—use only for the prescribed duration.
Do not cover with occlusive dressings unless instructed.
Use cautiously in children due to higher absorption of steroids.
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Adverse Effects

Mild burning or stinging sensation.
Dryness, redness, or irritation at application site.
Skin thinning with long-term use.
Stretch marks or pigmentation changes (rare).
Acne-like eruptions or folliculitis.
Allergic skin reactions may occur rarely.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
Keep away from direct sunlight.
Close the tube tightly after use.
Keep out of reach of children.
