Clobesol Lotion (30Ml) Clobetasol Propionate 0.5 % W/W, Salicylic Acid 3.0% by Elder

What is it used for?
This medicine is used on the skin to reduce redness, swelling, itching and inflammation in steroid-responsive skin conditions with thick, scaly or rough skin, such as psoriasis and some types of eczema.

How does it work?
Clobetasol is a very strong corticosteroid that reduces skin inflammation and itching. Salicylic acid softens and removes thick, scaly skin and may help the medicine penetrate better.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Wash hands after applying, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not cover the area with a bandage or dressing unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, irritation, dryness, peeling or redness may occur. Prolonged or excessive use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
Use only on the affected areas and only for the period advised. Do not use on the face, groin, underarms, broken skin or infected skin unless specifically directed. Avoid large areas of skin and use in children only under medical advice. Stop and seek medical advice if the condition worsens, signs of infection develop, or severe irritation occurs.
