Composition
Each tablet contains Losartan Potassium 25 mg along with suitable excipients.

Description
Cosart-25 Tablet is an antihypertensive medication belonging to the angiotensin II receptor blocker class. It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure and for reducing the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Losartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, leading to relaxation of blood vessels, improved blood flow and reduced blood pressure. It also helps protect kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Adverse Effects
Common adverse effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, hypotension and diarrhea. Less commonly, increased potassium levels, renal function changes or allergic reactions may occur.

Precautions
Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance or liver impairment. Blood pressure, kidney function and potassium levels should be monitored regularly. Avoid use during pregnancy as it may cause fetal harm. Breastfeeding women should consult a physician before use. Inform the doctor about all other medicines being taken to prevent interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the tablets in their original packaging and out of reach of children.
