Composition
Each tablet contains Losartan Potassium 50 mg along with suitable excipients.

Description
Cosart 50 Tablet is an angiotensin II receptor blocker used in the management of hypertension and in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke. It works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, resulting in relaxation of blood vessels, improved blood flow and effective blood pressure control. It is also beneficial in protecting kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Adverse Effects
Common adverse effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, hypotension and diarrhea. Occasionally, hyperkalemia, renal function changes or allergic reactions may occur.

Precautions
Use with caution in patients with dehydration, renal artery stenosis, electrolyte imbalance or hepatic impairment. Monitor blood pressure, renal function and potassium levels regularly. Avoid use during pregnancy due to potential fetal harm. Breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use. Inform the healthcare provider about all ongoing medications to avoid interactions.
