What is it used for?
This medicine is used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not used to treat type 1 diabetes.

How does it work?
Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess glucose through urine. Linagliptin helps the body release more insulin and reduce glucagon when blood sugar is high.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually at the same time each day. It may be taken with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Increased urination, genital fungal infections, urinary tract infections, dehydration, dizziness, and symptoms of a cold or blocked nose may occur. Low blood sugar is more likely when used with insulin or sulfonylurea medicines.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about kidney problems, low blood pressure, repeated urinary or genital infections, or medicines used for diabetes. Drink adequate fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised. Seek urgent medical help for nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, unusual tiredness, difficulty breathing, or confusion, as these may indicate diabetic ketoacidosis. Discuss its use before surgery, prolonged fasting, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
