Dapaglip 5 Tabs (10X10) Dapagliflozin 5Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Dapagliflozin is mainly used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It may also be prescribed for certain adults with heart failure or chronic kidney disease, as directed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It helps the kidneys remove excess glucose from the blood through the urine. This can also reduce fluid build-up in some people with heart or kidney conditions.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and swallow the tablet whole, with or without food. Drink enough fluids unless a doctor has advised fluid restriction. Do not stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Passing urine more often, increased thirst, dizziness, dehydration, urinary tract infection, and fungal infections of the genitals. Low blood sugar may occur, especially when used with insulin or certain other diabetes medicines.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about kidney problems, dehydration, recurrent urinary or genital infections, or use of insulin or other diabetes medicines. Seek urgent medical help for severe nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, unusual tiredness, breathing difficulty, or confusion, as these may indicate diabetic ketoacidosis even if blood sugar is not very high. It may need to be temporarily stopped during prolonged fasting, severe illness, or before surgery—follow medical advice.
