Description

Dapaking 5 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin, a Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that reduces blood glucose levels by blocking glucose reabsorption in the renal tubules, resulting in increased urinary glucose excretion.

It helps control Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and may provide additional benefits such as weight reduction, lower blood pressure, and cardiorenal protection.

Warnings and Precautions

Ketoacidosis: Rare but serious; discontinue if symptoms (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain) occur.

Genital Mycotic and Urinary Tract Infections: Maintain proper hygiene.

Volume Depletion: Risk of dehydration or hypotension—monitor elderly and diuretic users.

Renal Function: Periodically assess renal parameters.

Hypoglycemia: When used with insulin or secretagogues.

Adverse Effects

Common: Genital infections, urinary tract infections, increased urination, back pain, mild dehydration.
Occasional: Dizziness, thirst, nausea.
Rare but Serious: Ketoacidosis, urosepsis, Fournier’s gangrene.
